Healthcare team

Community nurses

The district nursing team and other carers are available for the medical needs of housebound patients. Arrangements can be made through the surgery. The team has regular contact with the doctors so that relevant information can be shared.

Community midwives

The midwifes run regular clinics at the surgery. They share maternity care with the doctors and are involved with our patients until three weeks postnatally. Appointments can be made at reception.

Health visitors

Call 01603 416015 to speak to a health visitor. They are based at Lawson Road Health Centre which is just across the road, some 100 yards away. Health Visitors will advise on all aspects of healthcare, especially for expectant mothers and small children.

Additional PCN roles

Magdalen Medical Practice is part of the Norwich Primary Care Network which incorporates a team of various clinical and non-clinical staff. The additional roles include pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, dieticians, physiotherapists, physician associates, mental health practitioners, care coordinators and much more. These roles whilst embedded and supported at the practice also have external supervisory support delivered by OneNorwich practices. These roles are additional workforce to support patients in specialist areas and therefore it is possible that you may be offered an appointment/review with them. For more information on the roles you can ask at reception or visit NHS England – Expanding our workforce.
