MMP is proud to have been a training practice for more than 40 years, we are committed to educating both students and junior doctors to promote high standards and continuing healthcare for future generations.
We have GP registrars (who are fully qualified doctors with more than 7 years of education and experience) working with us. In addition, we have foundation doctors who have complete their medical education but have to complete an extra year before they can practice independently. You maybe offered an appointment with one of these doctors, who have regular supervision with one of the GP partners at the practice. You also have the choice to see one of the GP partners if you prefer.
We also host medical students from UEA for teaching attachments, they will occasionally sit in with clinical staff and your consent for their presence will be checked prior to consultation; they will occasionally also see patients in pairs independently, but the patient is always reviewed in addition by one of the partners.
We feel the practice benefits from having youthful doctors contributing to keeping us up to date with new knowledge and developments and we are fortunate enough that 4 of our previous registrars have now joined us as GP partners.
